The mission of the Regenerative Medicine Foundation is to accelerate the discovery and development of new therapies for disease and translate those therapies into treatments for patients through the science of regenerative medicine. With the support and experience of those who have gone through similar situations, we will reach more people and share our mission with them. A patient advocate acts as a support structure between a patient and their healthcare provider. Most healthcare professionals see themselves as advocates for their patients, however their interactions are limited based on their job function. A patient advocate can share their story with others in similar situations and is a vital instrument for patients and healthcare providers to reach the ultimate goal of “helping each other.” The Regenerative Medicine Foundation will facilitate this process and will continue to gain members as the word gets out to the community.
